PTC work with our clients to deliver the optimum life of well gas lift system design.  Our gas lift design team is led by Dr Joe Allan, a widely recognised artificial lift expert . We use the Petroleum Experts Prosper software model to evaluate gas lifted well performance, along with a number of Openserver applications that PTC have developed.

Our approach is to take the OPCO’s anticipated lifecycle production profiles generated via in their reservoir simulator eg Eclipse (PI, watercut, reservoir pressure etc) and operating conditions (separator pressures, compressor discharge pressure) , then perform gas lift design calculations throughout life of field (LOF)  to establish mandrel depths over LOF. 

A  mandrel depth "set" is then selected and the performance of this "set" over LOF is then simulated. This ensures the well can always be unloaded and the design is neither too optimistic or pessimistic.
