Safelift meets:
- ISO 17078 part 1 & 2 (E4, Q1, V1, F1) and ISO 14310-V1.
Safelift Extreme meets:
- ISO 17078 part 1 & 2 (E4, Q1, V1, F1) and ISO 14310- V0.
ISOLift exceeds:
- ISO 17078 part 1 & 2 (E4, Q1, V1, F1)
Depending on your requirements, we offer a variety of 1" 1 ½" and 1 ¾" gas lift valve options, all of which:
- Incorporate a unique metal / metal seal spring activated check valve.
- Are designed using computational fluid dynamics to minimise erosional velocities.
- Are designed ( moving orifice) to eliminate check valve vibration and chattering.
- Are designed for retrofit in all side-pocket mandrels according to ISO 17078-1.
These features, in combination with few moving parts, robust springs and an optimized material composition (Inconel 718) makes the valves very robust and ideal for long life service even in harsh environments (H2S, CO2).
Various options, which can be individually selected and, in most cases combined, allow us to build valves, which are tailored to your specific requirements. The options include:
Valve Sealing Performance Options
- Safelift: Meeting the Statoil (V1 modified) acceptance criteria, max leak rate 20ml/10 mins
- Safelift Extreme: Max leak rate 0 ml/10 mins
- ISOLift: Max leak rate 688ml/10 mins. Exceeding the ISO 17078-2 acceptance criteria (6883 ml/10 mins) by an order of magnitude,
The Safelift™ valves are differentiated from the ISOLift valves in that they are treated with a special chemical coating processes and the seal faces are individually honed and mated. As a result we have created a valve, which is optimised to withstand erosion and to retain operational integrity for the lifetime of your well.
Uniquely, Safelift valves have also survived and passed extensive erosion tests[1], including high volume, high rate unloading with erosive, particle contaminated fluids
Valve Functionality Options ( Available for all Safelift and ISOLift valves)
- Injection Pressure Operated (IPO) Unloading valves.
- Production Pressure Operated (PPO) Unloading valves ( under development).
- Orifice Valves.
- Shearable (S) Orifice Valves which allow for completion pressure testing with live orifice valves installed.
NB The check valve technology is identical across all our valves. Consequently our unloading valves can all operate reliably as operating valves ( in cases where operating conditions have changed and lift gas can no longer be delivered to the existing orifice valve depth).
NB The unloading valve bellows have also been tested to an unprecedented 35000 cycles and are rated to 10000 psi ( 7500 psi in 1" valves).
Orifice Type Options ( Available for all Safelift and ISOLift valves)
Our Operating Valves can be delivered with conventional square edged orifices. Alternatively they can be specified with a venturi orifice, which enables critical flow across the valve at a dp of only 10 -15% of the upstream pressure. Two venturi orifice designs are available
- The PTC ‘Stealth’ patented angular low cv design
- The Petrobras original patented Venturi design (under license)
Lift Gas with entrained Chemical Injection (C) Duty Option (Available for Safelift Valves Only)
The Safelift valves have a further option ( Safelift C ) which employs a special valve geometry and surface finish to further enhance valve durability in wet lift gas or entrained chemical injection applications
Gas Lift Valve Derivatives
A number of other valves have been developed using the Safelift / IsoLift check valve technology, these are described elsewhere on the site and include
- Chemical Injection Valves
- Intelligent Dummy Circulation Valves
- Kill dump shear valves
- Dummy valves
